it might be quite obvious to some of you that follow our little label that we have a thing for schatrax. some would call it an obsession but we simply call it a crush. lets face it, the man has made some of the most timeless deep house from these mighty shores that make up the british isles - what s not to love? so, here he is again with mists a track previously unreleased but unmistakably schatrax. submerged beats, a skippy groove and a simple effective riff are the essence of the track while keep on loving injects a glorious uplifting feel with a bouncing b-line and classic piano riff. flipsides the almighty keeps things deep whilst aliena s groove is one of schatrax s signature tracks with it s haunting melancholic riff keeping the emotions high.

the maghreban is new to house music, and doesnt really listen to house music, which isnt necessarily a bad thing. he has worked extensively in other genres under other names. looking at house from these sideways perspectives perhaps gives him an interesting angle on it. this second release sees the maghreban expand his sonic palette somewhat, taking in some african sounds but also continuing along the vintage theme of his first 12 inch. radio play from benji b (bbcr1), thristian (nts), support from ben ufo (rinse/hessle), brian not brian (going good/kristina records), gatto fritto (international feel), sasa (in flagranti, nts), leri ahel (mutant disco).

ltd warehouse found! displacing common sense with burly daring while not engaging with lenient, populist timber-rhythmic solutions is something not only rare, but also urgent and ever loved by clubbers and close listeners alike. operating a warping double torsion onto the electro-acoustic stripe, marteaux(internet and jazz infused from early age) pushes an elegant, at once minute and far-out sort of hybrid, unflappable envelope bound to make you dance, chill or, even better, listen to over and over, detained by the studiously assembled details and inviting atmosphere.

after a very techno first release, unanim returns with another approach of the genre. it is herodot who delivers two very different tracks for his duo ep.
silent record rules the first side of this vinyl and its a monster. the rolling bassline and the powerful percussion are backed by tripping background noises. you cand also hear french experimentalist duo radiomentalle and david toops distorted voice. this one is definitely not silent and 100% destined for the dancefloor.
on a more subtle note side b features tul which is not as * loud* and a bit tool-ish. lurking sounds populate the background and the shakers provide a percussive feeling throughout the track. techno hasnt left the building !

years ago and aided by his older brother, the maghreban used to listen to a london pirate called green apple. he very much enjoyed these sounds. whilst not identical to what was played on the station, this tune is influenced by those and earlier times.

norwegian producer thomas urv drops the småskansen ep on his own ploink imprint this april. one of norways leading techno prospects, thomas urv has promoted and played at countless events across the country featuring the likes of jeff mills, juan atkins, derrick may, carl cox, richie hawtin, robert hood and kevin saunderson. when not delivering his three deck performances across scandinavia, spain, france, holland, canada and the uk (for fabric and bestival) the norse producer is firmly focused on ploink and his studio activities. *fuktig sol* leads the ep and is a sinister cut led by a morose hook and syncopated rhythm whilst whirring atmospherics add to a looming tension. the dark undertones continue in *stell/less* although steady kicks construct a vibe better suited towards peak time dancefloor madness. tying up the release *sånn isbre* delivers a frenzy of layered sounds that evolve over the course of a lengthy 16 minutes.

faust recordings is the new black techno label established by the italian dj and producer cristian carpentieri and his friend sandro leucci, one of the most famous art directors, designers and illustrators in italy. faust: a music that is not immoral is unworthy of being called music at all. well-known pleasure ep includes a remix produced by silvision.

this release marks a new beginning for berkovi, better known for his tougher music man, force inc, djax and harthouse releases over recent years. after haunting the bside of one release too many, a reboot into a more beloved and emotional techno template is obviously reaping dividends. according to the man himself, this is no trend following phenomenon: i ve always produced deeper music, more often than not even years ago was always pushed to b sides of eps or remixes but now it s the main thing i want to do, techno with soul. after releasing a lot of more melodic material on labels such as eevonext and an album for trapez a few years ago i want to return to solely concentrating on this style for my music and live sets

2009s * seventynine* long player helped catapult mirkos profile, not only as a producer, but also as dj, regularly spinning alongside the cadenza crew, and with detroit luminaries such as derrick may and carl craig. and its on this single that mirko invites friend and peer, carl craig, to remix under his c2 guise. wearing his influences on his sleeve, mirko is obviously indebted to the techno music of the motor city, and these classic detroit tropes are certainly used in the building blocks of the original mix of �kolor-, a sprawling and pacey intergalactic journey sprinkled with a dusting of xylophones, bells & chimes, as the melody is driven forward for a heady trip across the night skies.

with iyewaye, the first solo-ep after the release of his fifth album i am ok last year, oliver koletzki shows himself in a new, but not altogether unfamiliar light: since his breakthrough in 2005 with der mückenschwarm koletzki hasnt sounded this hard. gone is the pop-angle, replaced by a dark sound-aesthetic and raw energy. but even here, in the techno realm, oliver koletzki demonstrates his inimitable sense for melody: thus, the gloomy and driving framework of iyewaye is lit up by a crystal-clear synth-sequence. similarly, ipuza, which hypnotizes by way of reduction and repetition, is funky in its core thanks to a rolling tribal groove. functional, but with heart and soul.

you would be forgiven for not knowing the newest addition to the slowly expanding claremont 56 roster. you see, there has been no recorded output from german combo bambi davidson since the release of their largely overlooked minimal post-rock debut album, el faco, in 2000. until now, that is.

eye teeth, the new techno sub-label of interdimensional transmissions, launches with an ep from israel vines. the label say: we started this sublabel as way of exploring pure and experimental techno in an entirely contemporary context (where it often uses historical lenses and a wider musical context). this is techno from detroit and america, not detroit techno. we would like to see american techno evolve, and this new imprint is an attempt to be a catalyst in that arena.

initially alfonso muskedunder was just the nickname for my newborn son alf, but the character soon started leading it s own life. interpreted for this single by a bunch of good people, such as deetron (jazzy-ish housey-ish), bullion (main vocal funky latin house mix... or not. it s vocal though), mungolian jetset (acid mambo deep in the forest, quattro formaggio pizza style) and the mysterious tangoterje (dub mambo especial), the icing on the cake finally came in the form of a fully animated music video courtesy of bendik kaltenborn and espen friberg. kind of tricky to explain exactly what goes on in that one, guess you have to see for yourself...

2/3 of the legal team that brought you the circuit, burns & hawk release on rush hours no label step back into the halls of justice to convince a jury of their peers that openly emotive music is not something to be scared of. people know willie burns and torn hawk for the other records they have put out. luke went over to will s studio a couple times last year and they drank wine and luke avoided smoking weed. these tracks are pulled from those sessions.

now into its second year, shipwrecs sub label deep sound channel turns to newcomer von grall and berlin based do not resist the beat label boss milton bradley for a new four track ep. von grall goes first following on from a couple of releases in 2014 on annulled and planet rhythm records as well as on a va 12inch with bas mooy and developer.

early support from raresh, fred p. julietta, dana ruh!! after a first year of spellbinding releases, sol asylum returns in 2015 with a fresh various artist�s compilation featuring three finely crafted tracks from the sol asylum crew to kick-start the labels second year. bringing together a family of artists who have been there since the very beginning. starting off with the odd boys danny and damian, we go all the way back to the first release with a brand new remix of broken spell. whisking us away to a parallel universe of this odyssey, this remix is masterly conjured into a percussive exploration of the planet of odd. following the odd ones, julie marghilano unleashes another side of sol asylum with dragon drops. she unveils her known atmospheric soundscapes but with a heavily detailed rhythmic twist, made by experimenting with her field recordings to create a more stripped down sound that shows her range and versatility. last but certainly not least, miss jools calima brings the ep to a triumphant closure like a mystical fog. the elements of the track melt into drowning synths with crackling percussion and the elegantly designed grooves that levitate us steadily through the hypnotic melodies. the percussive strength of each track, while still being diverse links this collaboration of like-minded family members together as a cohesive potion.

midgar is proud to introduce a newcomer for the third release. a great debut for the maltese cloned, delivering not less than 4 cuts with sapphire 1990 e.p. the record, way more straightforward and groove centered than the previous midgar outputs, opens with sapphire 1990, track that sounds like very nostalgic memories from a timeless rave. thanks to a genuine simplicity and the great arrangement of its elements, this first cut has the perfect characteristics to become a dancefloor anthem. on the same side, a live out-take from cloned�s repertory, the pendulum swinging synth-lines which dominate pretty direct rhythmics filled with hi-hats and claps over a costant background noise. belgassem as the first cut on the b side, is an absolutely heavy one for the label�s standards, made of deep kickin� drums and haunting voices empowered by a really strong and obsessive acid-line. closing the vinyl, the slow (and again really acidic) submerging is like a lysergic vessel headed to more comfortable dimensions, where groovy drums are embraced by very bright heavenly pads. sudden death is instead a chilled-out broken beat interrupted by confused speeches and detroitish pads, resulting as a modern ritual of ascension towards higher spheres. corel drives the release to the end, recalling most of its main features: a restless run through misty soundscapes along a path studded of bells and overwhelming, sharp hi-hats.

originally hailing from slovakia but now based out of berlin just_me has been slowly making waves on the underground having previously released for baile music, 1trax and act natural respectively, as well remixing alongside the likes of hector, laura jones and the great todd terry. not a label to pigeon hole ourselves to any one genre or style of house or techno we are constantly looking to push the boundaries on the music we release with the pattern ep we have done just that! as just_me brings us two original deep, stripped back and dubbed out cuts adding some atmospheric and acidic tinges along the way. on the remix duties we have two very capable artists first up is cocoon s martinez who has shown us his new deeper side with an altogether tougher but minimal groove and feel on pattern 01 and to complete the remixes desolat s fosky brings a much more energetic approach to pattern 02. !

capsule labs music groups debut release is a 4 track house ep from label boss gil t (om, drop music, deeper shades). taking off with the lush sounds of flight 107, a smooth synth journey, nicely descends to get down low�. the afro cuban house beat sets a nice groove for the live jazzy vibraphone stabs of this classy track. the b side is a real bonus. the private driver really cruises and lastly, not so low is a chunky finisher remix of the title track, all done in house. locally farmed variety of true analog precision by gil tamazyan. each release has its own plastic drop card with a string being held in place with a limited pressing metal foil sticker individually numbered 1-500 on the back side of the jacket. heavyweight virgin vinyl.

limited nice price blow out ... disconet was created as subscription program service, which professionally selected and mixed disco music for discotheque djs, mobile discos and radio stations. disconet is called as the granddaddy of all remix services and provided mixed/segued dj dance sets, not only to make the djs job a little bit easier, but to expose club goers to new music. the djs spinning at the height of the disco era were given access to a new creative tool - a different interpretation of current dance tunes to wow club goers. originally, the disconet records were to be issued on a monthly basis which were limited to 1000 - 1500 copies of each volume. the first disconet record was released in october 1977. disconet team at that time was: tom savarese, bobby dj guttadaro and kevin guilmet as well as mike wilkinson. tom, bobby and kevin were dj legends, who had already been awarded with the dj of the year title by billboard. these greatest hits volumes contain their finest work, the original licensed disco edits of all the floor fillers of the time that have been re issued for your listening pleasure. expect many more volumes in the near future.

*i cant even afford bed linen, let alone a 909*. the unpretentious of jay donaldson is disarming in many different ways. we consider donaldson aka palms trax to be one of the most promising new artists to date. his sound situates him firmly along the chicago-detroit axis, cooking up pad-driven jams, off kilter drums and hazy synths that shift like a gentle musical tide. in 2013 he inaugurated the lobster theremin label, the london-based imprint that quickly became one of the most talked about record labels around. when not travelling the world for prime-time gigs donaldson holds a residency at the widely respected berlin community radio. it is with great pleasure that we welcome golden boy palms trax to dekmantel records.

amir alexander acid (aaacid) returns with his jack ingoff alias, a sub-alias of his smiley virus pseudonym to bring you an abstract acid dj tool ep. fully road tested from berlin, to nyc, to the ukraine, and beyond it s been leaving wrecked dance floors in its wake. as per usual, the tracks on this label always feature odd time synth patterns against 4x4 beats creating poly-rhythmic effect that first stupefies and then invigorates the crowd as they realize that these are not the average acid tracks. stripped raw bangers. just 909 and a 303 pure and simple. yet utilized in fresh, new, and complex ways.
